Bear Dance Ranch is nestled between the beautiful majestic La Plata Mountains and Mesa Verde National Park. We are across the road from a Lake and a Colorado State Park, 1/2 a mile from San Juan National Forest with amazing trails, a few minutes from town, not far from Montezuma County Fair Grounds, and a 1/2 hour from Durango! It’s a perfect location for taking a breather from traveling on Hwy 160, as we are 5 miles from it and yet feels like a world away!
Bear Dance Ranch offers ranch style camping – Enjoy the scenery, the great location, the animals, the privacy and we also offer gourmet home made meals and drinks if you’d like to just relax while visiting!

Mission: Bear Dance Ranch is dedicated to enrich the lives of children in need whether they are experiencing poverty, a serious illness, or in some kind of crisis through ranch day camps and horse therapy. We are here to support, encourage, inspire, teach and to share the beauty, the animals and all of nature’s wonder with the children in our home/ranch atmosphere. Bear Dance Ranch is focused on the hearts of children and is unique because we provide accommodations for the entire family to be involved with the children’s horse therapy.
Amazing Love Ministries, Inc is Bear Dance Ranch’s fiscal agent, which is a 5013C and has been
supporting the less fortunate since 2007.
There is a place, where children that are in need come to be nurtured, loved and discover “all that’s beautiful” - Bear Dance Ranch.

Families can come and stay with their children as they partake in the horse programs or just be here to enjoy the ranch!
BDR provides Natural Horsemanship classes for all children. We focus on respect, compassion, mindfulness and self awareness for horses and our human relationships.
