Bear Dance Ranch is nestled between the beautiful majestic La Plata Mountains and Mesa Verde National Park. We are across the road from a Colorado State Park with a lake, 1/2 a mile from San Juan National Forest with amazing trails, a few minutes from town, not far from Montezuma County Fair Grounds, and a 1/2 hour from Durango!

We are here to support, encourage, inspire, teach and to share the beauty, the animals and all of nature’s wonder with the children in our home/ranch atmosphere. Bear Dance Ranch is focused on the hearts of children and is unique because we provide a ranch style environment rather than a facility environment for children to feel more at home and relaxed.
Amazing Love Ministries, Inc is Bear Dance Ranch’s fiscal agent, which is a 5013C and has been
supporting the less fortunate since 2007.
There is a place, where children come to be nurtured, loved and discover “all that’s beautiful” - within themselves and the world around them…..

Children’s groups welcome! We would love to organize a ranch week stay with your children’s organization!
Taking particular notice and being able to focus on the amazing world of nature and animals, one naturally sees the beauty in themselves. We encourage children to focus on the potential of their lives and we aim to “feed their souls” with positive words of unconditional love and encouragement. Not hype, but real value .. share real stories .. and focus on their spirit.
True health is a sound mind, body and soul. We respect and strive to nurture all three at Bear Dance Ranch.

Children will explore ranch life, discover the connection between themselves and the ranch animals. Discover themselves, what they are capable of doing now and in the future. Taking time to focus on themselves.
BDR provides Natural Horsemanship classes for all children. We focus on respect, compassion, mindfulness and self awareness for horses and our human relationships.
